The thirty-year old actress made about $750 million sales from her product line just this year. Jennifer Lopez and Madonna, who also have their own fashion line, could certainly learn a thing or two from Simpson.

Jessica Simpson’s brand features more than twenty fashion categories. Her brand also carries shoes, swimwear, watches, accessories, jeans and even perfume. What could be her secret? Vince Camuto who is both founder and CEO of Camuto Group (the star’s licensee) told WWD that her image makes her the perfect style icon for many women. Simpson apparently projects the girl-next-door attitude, but her products are absolutely top class.

The actress may well be on her way to become Hollywood’s fashion powerhouse with her almost-billion sales this year. Her fan base which is regularly updated is her tool in getting sales for her retail. What makes Jessica Simpson’s brand stay high on the list of consumers? CEO of Jeanswear for The Jones Group, Jack Gross, reveals that Simpson’s brand is more sustainable. Gross’s company licenses the 30-year old’s denims.

SO what does 2011 have in store for the billion dollar actress-turned-designer? The fashion line it seems, will see a lot of expansion. Simpson is working on releasing her first ever sportswear line that should be out by autumn 2011. The line shall feature dresses, jackets and dresses that are priced well under a hundred and fifty dollars.
