Chloe Grace Moretz distances herself from Louis C.K.’s new film
The comedian Louis C.K who is 50, was one of the latest celebrities to face multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. The New York Times claimed that Louis had exposed himself to five women in the past.
The film starring the two actors Moretz and Louis depicts an aging filmmaker who is interested in a teenage girl.
Moretz’s reps said that the actress has pulled out of promoting the film after the allegations were published.
The movie’s premiere was also canceled, and Louis withdrew from the schedule plus canceled his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Orchard, which is the company distributing the film stated that after the allegations they would be canceling the premier and are considering the time and release of this film.
HBO has also stated that they will not be working with the comedian in the future. They added that Louis would not be working on the “Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs”. HBO will also remove all projects by the actor from its services on demand.
Other networks have stated that they are investigating the allegations and will review shows that they have worked on with Louis.
FX Networks said that they are troubled by the allegations, but at the moment the network has not received any allegations by Louis. FX went on to say that they take all necessary actions to protect their staff and investigate any allegations of misconduct.
